A June-bearing strawberry with very sweet, large berries that store and freeze well. We have grown several June-bearing varieties and Jewel has been our favorite. Easy grower and high yielding with quite a long harvest window in the middle of strawberry season.
Bare root plants from first year runners. Planted in spring, these should start fruiting the following spring!
Flavor profile: Very sweet, well rounded, no sugar needed
Hardiness zone: 4-8
Light: Full sun-part shade
Soil: Rich, well-drained soil with pH 5.5-6.5
Spacing: 18” apart
